Weeds

I have weeds growing among my cannas and was wondering can I spray weed be gone on the weeds without hurting the cannas?

I usually paint weed killer on when it's next to vulnerable plants.

.. and the roots should be shallow too. I have been pulling for weeks already.

It is really too large a stand to get into without damaging the cannas. I'll just try to spray around a few and see what happens. Thanks, Tim
