The sundews are back!

But the pitcher plants are still asleep. I went walking in my favorite wetland preserve and said hi to all the sundews. They posed accordingly...

It's good I don't run into many people as I must look strange, all bent over taking pictures of the ground. They're really red this time of year.

I love the detail in this photo

The pitchers are all dried up; I wonder when they come back?

I love your pictures. You've got some really nice close-ups. It's always hard for me to photograph the sundews. Two of the bogs I like to visit are on the side of the road and I always think people must think I'm crazy taking pictures of the "ground". LOL. What kind of pitcher plants are those? The s. alatas around here already have mature pitchers. I road by the parrot pitcher plants and they're not coming up yet.

We only have hooded pitcher plants, sarracenia minor, where I live (in the wild anyway). If I'm not taking pictures of the ground, lol, I'm staring skyward taking pictures of the tillandsias (airplants) in the trees. No wonder I'm always walking into those golden orb spider's webs!
