pansy's and aphids

I had no idea that aphids would attack pansies. Man, if this is a sign as to what summer is going to be like... I'm in trouble. I went to water them and noticed the little white "bug shells" everywhere and looked closer. This one flower does not due it justice. You flip one leaf over and you could hardly see the leaf there were so many! Unreal!

I had a minor aphid infestation on my balcony-box pansies last year: of a dozen plants, about three of them had large clusters of aphids on one or two stems. I just snipped off the stems and threw them in the garbage, and spritzed other plants with any aphids with some soap solution. Gone! The plants grew back quickly. Pansies respond well to regular pinching.

Yeah, I managed to get rid of them, I just never thought they attached pansies.
