Anyone have suggestions for getting Million Bells to flower?
They were flowering when planted (in December). The green stems are growing and spreading as expected; but no flowers. And I've fertilized with Miracle-GroŽ Water Soluble Bloom BoosterŽ Flower Food. Growing in sun, along both sides of the front walk. Get sun from ~ 8am - 3pm.
Live in the Tampa area.
Suggestions welcome.
Million Bells that don't flower
Little or no fertilizer and they bloom best when the days are longer, summer. I have seen them in the plant shops, in containers and they have very few flowers right now. They usually have lots of flowers when they are in pots. I have noticed that they really cover themselves with blooms June, July and Aug.
I like coreopsis.
Maybe too much fertilizer. I plant mine with Osmocote for the season and they bloom fine.
Thanks for the info. They're starting to flower now. Noticed a 4 or 5 beautiful flowers on a few plants. Maybe I was a bit too anxious due to the great weather we had and was thinking spring was already here! Keep your fingers crossed for me....that they keep blooming.
