I lost a heritage river birch tree that was the focal point for my front flower bed. Kept the dead tree in place for a year, then the tall stumps for a few more but they eventually just "dissolved" from the inside out and we watched it as it bowed down and said goodbye. I had to come up with something to take its place. I love yard sales and had accumulated quite a few moons, stars, and suns so we created a celestial themed mobile. It has been in place a number of years and some of the parts have aged better than others. Perhaps the real sun "doesn't like competition" 8>}
