Floris Hecker Question

Cedar Hill, TX(Zone 8a)

This is amazing or maybe not. I have a Floris Hecker potted and bloomed spring 06. It sent up two offshoots sometime last year. Now the mother is sending up a scape AND one of the offshoots is sending up a scape. Is this really fast or a characteristic of this one?

What a strong, fast grower that one is! I have heard that a newly planted bulb will flower quickly (3-5 weeks) but never have I heard that the offsets will bloom when they're so young.

I hope what happened with yours is something everyone can expect.....or maybe you have an Emerald thumb?

My floris hecker currently has 2 flowers on a 2006 offshoot, so it must be a characteristic of the cultivar.

I think I have one or two more. I'll have to find them and see what they are doing. I can't remember how much I liked FH but I sure do like the super fast flowering.
