Wedge-tailed Eagle

Churchill, Victoria, Australia(Zone 10a)

Walking in Morwell National Park yesterday, I spotted a pair of Wedge-tailed Eagles (Aquila audax) soaring overhead and showing off their distinctive tail shape. I managed a few photos. At one time sopme Australian Magpies (about the size of crow) were mobbing the eagles and looking tiny beside these huge birds, but they were too far away for a photo at that point.
Here is a Wedge-tailed Eagle in flight. It looks as if it might have something (perhaps a rabbit) in its talons.
