received akebia vines today have questions

I received my two akebia vines today. the deep purple and silver bells to insure cross pollenation. But I don't know if I should plant them in full sun, or partial sun or what.

I also received a variegated porcelain berry vine and the leaves aren't showing any variegation, does that come in time? I have the solid colored leaved one and it looks the same as my new variegated one.
