I am putting this up just in case someone can tell what bird this is. I only got one terrible shot before it flew off. I heard it before I saw it, and I had never heard anything like it before. Reminded me of a Wren, but larger.

Might be a Thrush, maybe a Grey Cheeked, Swainson's or Hermit.

You may be right, Pell. I listened to the song and it is very similar to what I heard. It was such a different bird call from anything I had heard before...it brought me around from the back yard to the front.
Agree with a thrush; I'm afraid it's too blurred to tell which species.
