World Premier

Wow. These are gorgeous. I was pleased to see Wild Irish Rose is as pretty as the picture I saw. I bought that one last year and now am really looking forward to it blooming. Great pictures of all of them...especially World Premier. I keep seeing pictures of it and think, "it just can't be that striking in person." I am thinking I may have to put this one on my wishlist. Is World Premier a good performer for you?

Witching, not a TB, but a favorite....

I saw World Premier three times at Conventions, Fresno (Hot HOT HOT dusty, windy oh and HOT), St. Louis (Thunder Storms day before garden tours) and Portland (Wet, Wet, windy, Cold oh and WET) and in all those conditions World Premier was this wonderful and this dramatic. I saw it in the last garden in Portland and after three days of torrential down pours it was a little sagging but I can not blame it. The worst I saw it was in its home garden but like I said three days of rain it was still standing and not fallen over.

I do not grow it, yet. But from what I have seen it is a very nice addition to any ones garden and very dramatic.

I simply had to jump in here with a couple of my favorite W's. World Premier is an absolute favorite for all the right reasons; growth, vigor, health and of course a gorgeous iris!

WILLAMETTE MIST: Possibly my favorite Schreiner iris ever (next to Silverado). I have to use the word possibly because they have so many great irises.

Anita and TBGDN - - those are lovely photos of some striking irises. I'm so glad you shared them. I Love how "WILLIAMETTE MIST" and "WILD ANGEL" look - - BOTH are on my wish-list now. :-)

Texas, I grow "WORLD PREMIER" and I can tell you that it is even lovelier than the photo. It has stunning coloring and form, decent growth habits, great branching, and passes those qualities on to it's children as well. It deserves to be in everyone's garden.

Well, there you go. World Premier has to go on my list now!!!! So far I have only ordered 3-4 iris. Looks like there is going to be more!

Considering I told myself I wasn't going to purchase any new iris this year...3 or 4 is not great but not too bad I guess. I purchased so many last year I had to put in two new flowers beds. Well I don't have plans for any more flower beds and not much room left in the ones I have. I am going to keep the list really really small. :-)

Good luck
