When I saw Makshi's thread about hummingbirds I wondered if it might have been a Rufous Hummingbird. The link you posted in that thread had some links to Rufous' ranges in there too. I have yet to see one around here, but I guess it's almost time to fill the feeder...we'll see!

I was wondering that too. Rufous Hummers are wintering regularly in the eastern US, and a Ruby-throat woudn't be that far north yet.

Wow, I thought only Rubythroats came to my area but I see there are some Rufous sightings right above KY, I'd sure love to see one!
