Georgia Weather Net

Have you all seen this automated weather site?

I find their forecasts to be pretty darn accurate as long as you don't look too far out.

I love that site. You can find out what the soil temps are which is critical for most warm season veggies. Looks like it's still on the cool side for tomatoes and peppers. Won't be long though.

Since a month or so (since gardening seriously !) I've been using this one. And I find this to be near accurate!

I like the 'month view' thing that wunderground has. It's neat how they show the historical averages and records on days after their forecast. Helps you get some idea of how bad things could get. I'm going to watch both for awhile and see how they compare. I imagine a lot depends on how close their weather stations are to you.

I just got a weather radio from Kroger.. had them on sale for $30 last week. We also have a top of the line digital "weather station" from Costco my husband wanted for Christmas and I have the Weather Channel's desktop on my computer for our area... We are seriously into weather!! LOL!! I emailed my friends about the weather radio being on sale and one wrote back that she didn't need to buy one if I could just call her when mine had an alarm!! :) We were very upset to lose our local weather channel when we went to a satellite provider.. I'd be outside gardening.. have a slight sunny shower and go inside to see the radar and judge how soon it would pass directly over us. I'm really into it!

I am watching both now too Jkehl, what is easy about "your" georgia weather that it immediately gives you soiltemps. It suddenly turned very cold here, isn't it? Is this normal for Georgia? I am shocked I was already totally in Spring mood last week. The termometer on our porch said 3C° this morning! I still prefer the C° over F° which is also a reason for the other weather site, it gives me both in one overview.

I've found the most detailed radar and weather advisory come from a web site named " intellicast.com"
its adaptable and has zoom capabilities, also gives updated advisories
