Thought I'd share some pics of my Aussie plants that are blooming now...
Grevillea 'Scarlet Ribbons'
A little piece of Australia in California...
Cool pics ecrane3 ,
Good to see so many Australians thriving over in California
Wow those are great. Where did you get you Grevillea levis? I almost bought a grevillea a while back now I will have to go back and get one.
I just love Australian plants, they have such gorgeous flowers and I just can't get enough of them! And our climate is pretty good for growing them, the soil's a little too much on the clay side so I've lost a few too poor drainage on occasion, but for the most part they seem to love it here.
Marie--I got the Grevillea levis from the fall sale at UC Santa Cruz Arboretum--that's the only place I've run across it and I had a hard time finding much info on it when I put it in Plant Files so I think it's probably not too widely available. Most of the other Grevilleas that I have are more common and easier to find, 'White Wings' has similar flowers, just white instead of pink and you might have an easier time finding it.
ecrane, your pics are lovely....you've done us proud!!
Thanks!
