Here's a nice plant. I couldn't find any images on line so I went outside to photograph the plant we got last year from Gossler Farms. I've seen a mature specimen at the Arnold Arboretum. The old growth retains this vivid red cast. The new growth is a corally bight red. Sorry for the image quality but I figured sharing something was better than nothing.
This is a grafted plant.
Something to consider. It's an eyepopper!
