'Howdy' kathy ..

My apologies, for such a mitey late reply .. but, I'm hopin' that perhaps one of these web sites may will lend some aid to ya.
There are quite a variety of soil-dwelling scarab 'bug' (beetle) species .. that are referred to as grubs in their larval state.

Here's this one > http://www.ces.ncsu.edu/chatham/ag/homehort/Grubs.html .. and .. > http://www.greensmiths.com/grubs.htm ..

I have a question. Do these grub killing products kill the earthworms as well?

Kathy,

I don't know what's going on down here, but I hope you don't have the same problem. I found at least one and sometimes three grub worms per shovel of soil while digging a pond 2 weeks ago. Every bed is infested with them this year more than usual. The beetles are already coming out - started last week. Worms and beetles everywhere. I'm checking out Magpye's links now.

I bought some of the granules but do I have to water immediately or can I wait for the rain to wash the chemical into the ground?
