Would you use moisture crystals in your veggie garden?
moisture crystals
If I lived in Arizona I would. ;)
You might want to check out the coops threads. There is one going right now with crystals. Thread also has lots of info and instructions for using them.
the thread started in the Soil and Compost forum -- then a co-op was started. They are called Polymer Crystals.
I plan to use them with my tomato plants this year, along with my flowers. (I dont have room for a veggie garden)
I'm going to be using the crystals in straw bale gardening this year. Plus, I'll use it on a lot of potted plants and plants that love staying moist. BTW, I'm co-hosting the polymer crystals co op. The price is a super good deal. Come join the fun :~)

There's also a thread going on about an organic alternative to polymer crystals:

I haven't used either yet, so I can't compare them...
