Anyone have any favorite links to places that you can mail order different varieties of adeniums? I know I've come across them before but never bookmarked em.
Looking for Links to Mail Order Adeniums
Patty, I just ordered from Buried Treasures...it is on the vendors list for adeniums....good price, too. They are small (21/2" caudex) but are promised that they will bloom this year. I ordered several colors, including all white and a deep red....
Thanks Gail

Thanks Marilyn!
My A. multiflorum and swazicum came from Arid Lands. I'm very pleased with pricing, delivery, and the plants. Bob was very nice to speak with by phone and e-mail. Brian at Buried Treasures is very nice and sells good product (true, I bought caladiums from him last year but they were wonderful). Always check the watchdog for feedback. You'll see that these vendors have very good if not excellent feedback.
Marilyn is right about e-bay sellers. I bought a. arabicum seeds from a Thai seller on eBay. With shipping I paid only US$8.50 for 10 seeds. they were supposed to have an 80% germination rate. Only 1 germinated (on a heat mat in a germination set-up). The seller sent a new set of seeds, about half of which germinated. I don't know if travel affects seeds (they are no longer so fresh when they come to the US) or not, but it was a cheap experiment and not many sellers offer A. arabicum. Do watch out for shipping rates, they can be a way to gouge you. This Thai seller charged only US$3.50 for Thai Royal Air Post, and re-shipping was free. He also returned e-mails fairly quickly and writes English well.
You're welcome. Here's Buried Treasures' website: http://www.buried-treasure.net/
BTW, betty: Your link for Buried Treasures at http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/696626/ doesn't go to Buried Treasures' website
I am computer challenged....seriously!!!
Don't worry - at least you know you have to try hard to break it! LOL! I'll bet you typed out the website name rather than copying it, didn't you? I've done that before.

Marilyn, I couldn't find any prices on tropicanurseries.....fantastic collection, but never could access any costs????
Betty - It looks like Tropica isn't a good source for those of us who only want a few plants. Go to their website, click on Adenium, and then click on "Commercial Information." You will see there that both retail and wholesale require a $500 minimum order. I, too, cannot find any costs associated with individual plants, which is very disconcerting. I think you have to ask about the price of each and every plant in which you're interested. Aaaarrggghhh!!! Sorry!!!!
Marilyn
Actually, you did me a favor....500.00 minimum scares me off (LOL) but 100.00 doesn't!! You just saved me money

HEHEHEHEHE!!! Glad I could help!!!

This is a great nursery for caudiciforms and succulents and the prices are very reasonable.
Have you tried Snowbelt Adeniums? I think he gets stock from tropica.

Phil also sells on ebay.
Thanks! I ordered from Buried Treasures and was pleased. Also found a small inexpensive one at a local nursery.
Patty
Phil has different adenium species - arabicum, multiflorum, somalense, etc. and the prices are great. Shipping was only $6 for 2 of them.
I have purchased seedlings from Phil at Snowbelt Adeniums too and was very pleased. I also purchased my Noble Concubine and Harry Potter from Brad's Buds and Blooms: http://bradsbudsandblooms.com/index.php?cPath=22&osCsid=99165ad36b30a3b1812246a92a9b5085 Brad is a member here and very reliable.
