A surprise visitor to our bird table

Churchill, Victoria, Australia(Zone 10a)

Fay had put some scraps of meat on the bird table last night, and when I drew the curtains this morning, I was surprised to see an immature Grey Butcherbird (Cracticus torquatus) having a feast.
Grey Butcherbirds occasionally visit our garden, but have not previously come for food.

After a short time, he took a piece of meat up onto one of the posts above the bird table and posed nicely for some more pictures:

although we have seen adult butcherbirds in the garden, I have not been able to photograph one, but I did get this picture of an adult Grey Butcherbird in Mathison Park in Churchill
