What is a light frost?

Apparently my sweet peas should go outside during the day asap - they will survive a "light frost" What does that mean? 30 degrees?

What is a hard frost?

Go to the glossary here at Dave's. Hard frost is defined as 28 degrees F. or lower, I believe light frost is 32 degrees. We are definitely still in the hard frost season here in the Hudson Valley of NY.
