Over the years I have always used this to start seeds. I consider it the best in terms of water retention, composition etc. It is getting hard to find. Other seed starting mixes just haven't done the job for fine seeds like begonia. Does anyone know what big stores carries this? I live in Central Mass. and the store locator (at ferry seed who must distribute the brand) tells me that the nearest retailer is 89 miles away.
jiffy Mix
Lowes and Home Depot do in my area...
I've picked it up at Home Depot and WalMart. didnt find any at Menards, but didnt look too hard since i didnt need any.
I found mine at Kmart here in Maine (sorry if it posts twice, my first answer earlier today never showed up) Cyndie
