Whistlin' Dixie

New Matamoras, OH(Zone 6a)

Heres a shot of a Yellow Warbler that spent the summer here a couple years ago over on the other side of some pines I have here.... This little fella could toot up a storm...I named him "Dixie" because he would sing his little heart out all day long... They nested last year but out a bit further in the field....

I think these warblers start showing up around here about the time the hummers arrive on the first of May....

Just beautiful!

Nice photo Dave. Your date of arrival is probably quite accurate. I actually took this photo last year on April 23rd here in Maryland. Hopefully this year I will see some of the other warblers that have thus far eluded me.

I find that staying in one place, at least when trying to photograph warblers works better....They seem to bounce around so fast, sooner or later their bound to come into your target range....

Hey,,, nice picture by the way....
