Decorative sliding screen?

I am imagining a decorative sliding screen to to hide a recessed utility area. A cabinet/pantry of sorts is the dream but just too $ for now. The sliding hardware would be secured to the ceiling. Any of you ever design or build such a screen? Wooden frames and maybe fabric or ?
