February Bloom

I returned from a long trip to upstate NY to find this beauty!

Its not perfect - one of the petals damaged by contact with rose leaf, but it certainly made my day!

Wow! Even an imperfect iris is a sight for sore eyes, especially after a trip to upstate New York. Ah, life in Arizona certainly has its good points.

Sigh. Spring iris are only a dream here. I have to go out & "right" all the garden stakes mashed by the snow or trampled buy the dogs. I have TOUGH iris! :)

Wanda - this one must be a "freak of nature", all the others, including the ones I received through your generosity last year are just quietly working on their roots and growing new leaves......

pajaritomt - this is the best time of year here, between now and May.....but what happens is everything will be up, blooming and done much quicker than the rest of the country! This is my first year for iris so I am hoping that they will bloom before the daylilies and I will get a longer show!
