These are excellent pics, but I agree the blue is not the true shade. We have these every summer. I believe they must nest close by. Do you feed them? I have never seen them at the feeders, just in the back yard and surrounding fields.

It still thrills me to see a couple of them together. I love the sound they make too.
I have never tried to photograph them, but if I had a long lens they would be one of my first subjects!
