I hear they do very well in my part of the country. I would love to see pictures of the ones you have been successful with. I thought I should put in a few of them as well.
Anyone growing arilbred iris?
Oh, those are lovely. I will have to have some of those for my terraced front beds.
Grand Vizier is stunning. I also really like Babylonian. Heck, I like all of them! Can't wait for the rest.
Wow! Thanks Anita and Margie! Yes, New Mexico has a climate just like most of Turkey so I am looking forward to growing some of these. They have very unusual color configurations, it seems to me. I really like Vera Marina and also Desert Diamond and Persian Padishaw. Tcha'Deech is also wonderful. These will work wonderfully in my very rocky front yard, where I can add soil among the rocks.
FYI
They are having an Aril Trek in your neck of the woods in 2008
You might want to think of attending

Thanks for the info. I just joined the Aril Society International last week. I am looking forward to their events, but hope they have some before 2008. I did notice that they have a plant sale on July 25. That will be a great place for me to get started. In the meanwhile I can work on building up soil for AB's.
