Online in Mother Earth News there is a story about building your own seed starting box that contains two lightbulbs for heat. Have any of you ever tried this? How was it for you as opposed to just buying the heater pad to go beneath the starts? I am in Oregon.

Bottom heat seems to work better and faster.Just my two cents worth.
