Need Ideas for Birch Limbs

Boxford, MA(Zone 6a)

Hi!

I'm new to this board, and I'm cross posting this.

Today, Jax and I (the dear kitty in the picture) cut weedy growths of birch that surround our pond. There are LOTS more to cut; I decided to end early today as I sort of cut through the power cord with the electric saw.

As you can see the birch limbs are about 3 feet long, and all are at least 1" or more in diameter. They are pretty straight, but all have some sort of slight bend. I would LOVE to use them somehow. I do need stakes for the garden, but they're to short and thick. What can I do with them that's fairly easy?

Thanks in advance,
Melissa (and Jax)
