Another set of iris pictures for your mental health.

Oro Valley, AZ(Zone 9a)

Here are a few more seedling pictures (for your mental health) I took this past spring at the IRIS Convention. a reminder these irises are not introduced yet - - (so they are not named irises) and may never be introduced.........................but they indicate the future of irises if they are ever introduced in the years to come.

Thank you, Margie! What a pleasant surprise to wake up this morning to new glorious pictures if iris! Never an easy choice, my favorites are 19, 24, and 28. That Iris Convention must be fun.

Oro Valley, AZ(Zone 9a)

I'm glad you are enjoying them.....thank you.

Betty, The iris conventions ARE fun! And you get to see tons of irises!! Here are 2 links with information on the next convention. The next one is in OKLAHOMA.

I would love to have every single one.

Los Alamos, NM(Zone 5a)

You won't believe what I just did. I joined the AIS. If at all possible I will attend the convention. Oklahoma isn't too far from New Mexico. ( Not too close either.) Seeing that many irises would be a thrill. I remember first thinking about going to the AIS Convention last year when it was in the North West ( Seattle?) but by the time it dawned on me, it was already on.
I am excited!

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Ditto polly! Margie, thanks for sharing, they all are absolutely gorgeous.
1 through 28 are my favorites!

pajaritmt-the AIS for 2008 will be even closer to you, as it will be in TEXAS. Which I will be going to.

Margie my vote is for the following 19-20-21-22.

The 2008 Convention April 14-19, Austin, Texas
Hope this helps. Not only do you see tons and tons of iris, but you see different types of iris, meaning Bearded, and beardless. You will mean others who are into the iris as well as the oppununity to met many of the hybridizers. Go to different events where you will learn more and more.

Just save up now for it and see if you can get a room mate for the hotel and usually near convention time they will give you an idea of who needs who for room mates.

Good luck and enjoy

irisloverdee,
Austin! Wow! Couldn't be in a better place in Texas as far as I am concerned. I will definitely try to get to it. But I think I may have to go to Oklahoma City as well. Irises are addictive!
