Full sun clematis to hide a building

(Maggie) Jacksonvill, FL(Zone 9a)

I would like suggestions please for clematis that will withstand full sun and cover an ugly building. Ideally I'd like to plant several so that two or more of them are always in bloom. I love sapphire blue, fragrant would be wonderful. The location in question has a southern exposure and doesn't get direct sun until at least late morning due to oaks on the east.

I'm new to clematis and the ones I have are growing very well for me but trying to figure out the above puzzle is beyond my scope just now.

Full on view. The tall shrub to the left is Cassia Alata- cadmium yellow in summer. The small shrub to the right is Vitex- lavender blue in summer.

Thanks,

Maggie:

I would suggest the Clematis Montana varieties. Many of them are fragrant and they can easily grow 25-30ft each. However, I don't believe there are any sapphire blue Montanas.

Shirley1md,

Thanks for the suggestion, the variety name is very helpful to me.

Warm regards,
