I am growing grow Bush, Pole and Tepary beans for the first time this year. I need advice. I am good at growing herbs, tomatoes, eggplant, squash and peppers. However, I don't know beans about beans.
I only grow heirlooms by the way.

Growing beans in the South
I've grown bush and pole but prefer purple hulls and speckel butter beans for yeild and flavor. Pole and bush here in my area seems attract bugs and never produced much.
I also grew yard long beans last year that did super well. Climbed up the sunflowers into the crepe myrtles along the fence and made tons of beans.

I did Ky Wonders 2 years ago - beans every week all summer - DW said no more, so skipped last year, but had over 200# from 8 poles - 2-4 plants per pole - in an 8' a-frame. Used the shaded center to grow swiss chard. Would like to try again with the KW/Blue Lake cross.
Bubba,
I got a whole pack of Kentucky Wonders. Glad to drop some off to yah, next week for lunch, maybe. Let me know.!
