A working horse

Central, AL(Zone 8a)

Some time back I picked up a surplus parachute from the army surplus store. I blew my yard leaves into the chute and cinched it up. I got a water ski tow rope and passed the handle over my saddle horn. Sugar was happy to tow it back to the wooded area next to her pasture. And later on I found her impression on the pile of leaves...she used it as a bed!

She has provided a lot of assistance over the years pulling fallen logs to the brushpile, allowing me to string Christmas lights from her back onto the outdoor spruce, and trimming branches from astride that are too high for me to reach. She had a tendon injury last April so I don't work her hard anymore but her disposition has been awesome.
