Word game revised

Due to a desire to not be too obnoxious with our OT game, we're dropping the other two as they were heavy anyway, and will just have this one going. If there is strong objection to this one, we will drop it, too.

This will be a 7 letter game, you can re-arrange the same letters or change one letter. Use the word in a sentence (of your choosing) and also the entry previous.



The first word: revised

This is the revised version of the word-scramble game. :-)

diverse

It's nice to be diverse enough to allow revised editions of OT games that some of us enjoy alot.

severed

What of our fascinating tales of weevils and chest hairs? Our diverse and fanciful plots? The storylines are just severed? ( *tissue please* )

reverse

We don't have to reverse the story lines, we give acclaim where it deserves (8 letters, but I went back to 7) to be. We are, indeed, witty, cunning, intelligent, and best of all, humble!

revered

Did our stories deserve to be revered? I think the reverse is true. But who can forget the escapades of Camilla? And the antics of the Stogella sisters? And how Marylyn threw herself at Bruce Springsteen?

reveres

No one reveres our stories more than us. If others revered us as much as we deserve, we'd be rulers of the world.

VENEERS

Our stories are layered in archives of olden times much like veneers of papryus displaying historical accounts. The telenovella buried in the past will allow for tales of Antonius, Camille, Sofia and Lucia to be held in the highest of praise and awe and held dear to the heart by an audience that reveres the artful telling of their saga. (WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?)

I've been on pins and needles waiting for the home improvement guy. I sneered when he showed up drunk. He is a real doofus.

endless

Under my pine tree, there is an endless supply of pine needles ;-) I bet that doofus was short.

legends

I'm afraid we're legends only in our own minds. We do have endless imaginations.

slender

Are we slender in our own mind, too? ;-) My favorite legends from years gone by were Jimmy Stewart and Katharine Hepburn. They didn't come much slenderer.

blender

If your meals come only from the blender, you will be slender.

blended

Now that's a nicely blended myth about blender meals. I bet if you made meals of ice cream and other yummy stuff in the blender, you wouldn't be slender. If I had to eat blended veggies, potatoes, and meat, or a blended taco, maybe...yeah, slender is what I'd be.

Needled

Y'all should have needled me about my 8 letter word goof in this 7 letter game. After several attempts at creating a well blended word, I didn't even think of counting the letters. LOL

needler

You wanna be needled? I can be quite the needler. The *least* you can do is to choose letters that the next person can do something with. ;-) You left me with little choice but to be a needler.

lenders

You are quite the needler, Magpied. If any of the lenders I use in business needled me like that, they'd be scrubbing floors at Tent City. ;-o

spender

Perhaps if you weren't such a big spender, you wouldn't need all those lenders. If they get cheeky, just make 'em drink tacos from the blender. That should shut 'em up. ;-)

It all depends on how much of a spender one is.

deepens

Drinking blended tacos deepens your experience of otherwordly cusines. But then it really depends on how far one is willing to explore those tastes. Blended ice cream would be much better, even if I won't be slender.

Nothing deepens my appreciation for otherwordly tastes. Not the Twilight Zone. Not Outer Limits. Not Star Trek. ;-) Liquid tacos would not steepen my threshold for vomiting... lol

Teepees

Believe me, if you're held captive by Indians and kept prisoner in teepees for a month with only liquid tacos as nourishment, your tolerance will indeed steepen!

When first I saw we now have 4 E's I went oh! Eeek. What can I do with that? I made my hands into a steeple shape to enhance deep thought. Imagining liquid tacos, spiced with tequila being sipped in teepees with a warm fire and smoke, made me realize Life Is Good.

replete

I am replete with liquid tacos. I didn't know that steeple-shaped fingers helped the thought processes but now that I do I plan to use it lots. Though I will not give any more thought to liquid tacos.

deplete

The house is replete with cat fur. I can't seem to deplete the supply.

Pleated

It's hard to deplete the cat fur. Especially if you have pleated drapes or dust ruffles. It gets everywhere!

I had a bird that planted pecans in the pleated drapes. Nothing sprouted. ;-)

Planter

Oh, how that would look if your bird planted those pecans in a planter! Well, maybe not pecans, but birdy-doo seed from a nice plant would be a pleasant surprise, eh?

lantern

I'd like a chinese lantern plant to sprout in my planter. Or in a pot. And live to get the orange lanterns--because the lantern part is the whole point of having a chinese lantern plant.

Laments

I've seen those. It would look very nice in a planter. The laments I've endured for many a planter I've designed that never came to life.

Usual life tends to get stalled around the holidays. Too many details and too much to do. I like when things get back to normal.
