One of the important differences that will distinguish this feature from other general "trip advisor" or "yellow pages" sites is the input from each of us as gardeners.
Please add your feedback for the businesses you've patronized and the public gardens and parks you have visited. It helps other gardeners and the business or organization.
For smaller businesses and organizations, this type of "word of mouth" is their only form of advertising. And for businesses of any size, unsolicited testimonials are priceless - they can't buy that type of good will.

I just thought of our local Farmer's Market in Forest Park, GA just so of Atlanta. I went there last week and got some beauties. They don't seem to have the bargains they used to, but a great selection.

We have a wonderful farmers market in Memphis TN that is doing it's second year with incredible success.
Venders have to offer locally grown products and come from three states.
There is music, entertainment, kids activities and more.
A great enrichment for our River City. Below their link.

I wish I could add a review. I used to live just about 6 blocks from the H. P. Gardens just a block off Bumby. It was a free thing then, but I was in my 20's and not really doing much gardening. I often thought of driving back in there, but never did. At the time it was a private residence and sort of forboding. Opportunity missed.
Well, if you can't add a review for that garden, I bet you'll find other places you've visited more frequently, which you can add a review for ;o)

One thing I do know, and I am very disappointed in - the Pike Family Nursery in Stockbridge, GA is no longer a nursery - they only carry "Hardscape". They do have lots of beautiful rocks, many kinds of stone and gravel, etc.
I've edited their categories, but will you add a review with that information? It will undoubtedly save others a trip if they know it's hardscape only now.
Terry - We toured gardens in SC, Fla, and GA this year, and last year we went to MS, KY, and IN. Some were public gardens, some were private. Do I put in the zip code for the area they were in and then plug them in?

First thing is to check and make sure someone else hasn't added them. You'll find a search box on the main page, and a ZIP code search when you drill down a bit.
If it's not in there, then plug away or send 'em to me and I'll add them for you. Then - the really important part - be sure to add your reviews ;o)
Terry, could you please add AL to the top. We have many great nurseries, arboretums and Botanical Gardens. If you are drive from Georgia to Mississippi, you have to go through Alabama. :~)
I have found the entries from Go Gardening and it has helped me, but it would be nice for other folks to see what we have to offer too. Tennessee to Florida panhandle, drive through Alabama!

I have just added a new nursery in Jonesboro, AR, called Harmony Gardens. It looks like it is going to be a great place to shop! I bought two lorapetalums, an irish moss, and a couple of dark colored sedums. Very nice!
I almost forgot about one of my favorite nurseries, in Griffin, GA it's the "Plant Emporium". I have bought things there off and on for many years. The owners are great people and have their own GH where they propagate many of the things they sell. The prices are very reasonable since they don't have to pay a middleman. They have lovely and unusual garden ornaments, bird houses, etc.

I go by there whenever I can sneak off from my wonderful wife who is under some illusion that we have spent more than enough on the garden......:)
