Please add your feedback for the businesses you've patronized and the public gardens and parks you have visited. It helps other gardeners and the business or organization.

For smaller businesses and organizations, this type of "word of mouth" is their only form of advertising. And for businesses of any size, unsolicited testimonials are priceless - they can't buy that type of good will.

You can narrow this down to a particular category (garden center/nursery, or public gardens, etc.) You can also plug in your ZIP and specify a radius (especially helpful if you live near the state line and want to see everything in your immediate area.)

in the NH area in Plaistow, NH there is a greenhouse and farm called gouldreaut's. beautiful old farm, grow their own summer flowers and vegetables. Planting supplies etc.

Probably my most memorable gardening experience was at Monticello, yes Thomas Jefferson's Monticello......I was there in the late fall, it was truly beautiful and to think how old some of those plants/trees were, was staggering. Just my luck the greenhouse garden area was closing for the season and I was driving a large van. I cannot tell you how many plants/trees/bushes I purchased for $1 or $2 dollars....it is so neat to think that some of the cultivers my garden in Edinboro, PA came from that historic place and ancestors may have been planted by Ol' Tom himself! Boggles the mind.

I wanted to give a plug also to our very own Goodell Gardens here in Edinboro, PA a very old homestead with many unusual plants and a wonderful way to loll away an afternoon. The homestead belonged to the Goodell Sisters and is one of the oldest buildings/farms in our area, open all summer.

I looked up CSAs out of curiosity and found only Winter Sun Farm which I love and subscribe to all winter. However, in the summer, here in 12603 NY, there is the Poughkeepsie Farm Project. I belong to that group and pick up fresh produce throughout the growing season, weekly and also volunteer in their herb garden. In addition to produce distribution they have community garden plots for lease.
