Christmas Stocking Pattern Help

I posted this on the Needle Arts forum, but thought I'd post it here as well. My son-in-law is a huge Red Sox fan and my daughter suggested that I knit him a Christmas stocking with a Red Sox theme. I've found several patterns with white heel and toe that mimic the Red Sox logo, but wondering if anyone has any suggestions/advice or seen anything like this with instructions posted elsewhere? Any help appreciated :)
