Late bloomers

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

Thought that I would post these pick, here are some of my most recent blooms, which are first flowers, I thought I would have to wait till Spring, but they surprised me. I seem to be getting a lot of splash effect and I wonder if that is due to the cooler temps. Her is Lucifer, thought I had lost it till it bloomed.

and the next is a bit hard to capture the pretty play of colours, it is pinkish with some blue tones and orange. It has grown to about 3' with nice bright green leaves

Those are very pretty. I have 3 in bloom right now and one just about to bloom but it will not get a chance because of the cold front that is supposed to arrive tomorrow night... they will all bite the dust until next year. Time to get out and mulch tomorrow. I am letting the round absorb as much warmth as possible before I add the winter mulch.
