can i also just lay it on top of the beds or does it have to be worked in?? these are some old flower beds that have been here forever and i really dont want to disturb whats in them. thanks
okay i need help please
tore bought cow manure is WELL composted. It is usually the leavings from large feedlots that have windrows of cow poop that have to weather and compost for a certain amount of time before they can resell it. So long as you distribute it pretty well, and have adequate organic matter mixed into your soil, you shoul dhave no problem.
One downside of cow manure is that it tends to have a higher level of salts because of the feedlot diets. Additional organic matter will probably offset that.
