Brisvegas, Australia(Zone 12b)

Thats the name of an Aussie movie.
Well so is this bunch of cannas, more like "They`re a wild mob"
I took these PICS. 5 minutes ago, 2 blocks down from me.
All our blocks are 10 acres. So thats like 1 mile away.

They sure look happy where they are. Are they in the middle of "nowhere" or is there a garden somewher nearby that they are a part of?

No garden, No TLC, Cows can eat them, and no one cares about them.
I once saw the farmer slash them with his tractor.
Half of the bunch is on the footpath, You can see the fence?
I am going to go and dig up some roots and start a new thread detailing what I am doing,
with regular updates.

Hi Ginger I can't remember the name of the suburb just after Mt Gravat heading towards Bris, ....park, any way, it has a central park that is planted, stuffed full of cannas, belive they would need de-seeding bout now before the gardeners lop them off. Also I havn't been but Bernard York lives in Brissy, now that would be a canna garden worth looking at.
Rita.

That would be NormanPark?
I`ll look into that one.
Thanks rita_sturzbeche.
I`ll keep in touch.

Today the farmer slashed the lot with his tractor.
No matter. I got a few pieces 3 days ago.
I’ll add Pics as they grow.

That yellow flower is just beautiful!!

Tampa, FL(Zone 10a)

Cannas are not used often here in FL. Many types are attacked by soil insects. Once in awhile I see them in the landscape, here is a photo of the largest stand I have seen locally....

Here is pic of a bed in Mpls MN I took several years ago. Most canna don't do well in the area, Zone 4a, just not enough time in summer. I do not know what type this is, but, it is a reliable bloomer. People share the rhizomes and it is widely grown in that area. I have even seen this type growing in northern MN gardens, zone 3b.

WOW dale_a_gardener,
That is the biggest group I have ever seen.
I have saved your image,
So I can show other Canna enthusiasts in my area.
Thanks for sharing that.

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

I was wondering the same thing.

Don't you just love his combinations? My combinations start off as good intentions but never seem to bloom together.

Wait, wait, wait, what are all the colored flowers? Are they all the same flower just different colors? You've got me so excited with ideas running through my head. I'm really taking notes here. The two tiny trees are 6' callistemon? Did I understand you correctly? So pretty! Is that a front entrance? FG, front garden?

Brisvegas, Australia(Zone 12b)

There are 3 callistemon in the pic.
Yes all the flowers are the same kind.
I just got a seedling tray of mixed colours.
I think I planted 24 flowers.

ops forgot 1 question.
This is a single FB outside My Studio Window.
There was a very large Queen palm, you can see the stump.
It Had to go. Kept dropping seed on my roof and blocking gutters.
