Dungeness crabs are in season now and I wondered if we can use the shells in our compost bin. They are pretty stinky, but the bins are way out back, not near anything else, or neighbors, and I would bury them very deeply. What do you think?
Crab shells in compost?/
If you bury them deeply, I think they would make a great addition to the compost pile.
I wouldn't hesitate! What wonderful minerals you'll be putting into the soil!
Thanks guys, I'll do it!
I use all kinds of shellfish. Bust up the shells when you do
