That`s funny cause my cat sleeps all the time .
CANNA ?
What a beautiful baby!I've never seen a cat sleep in that position.
Mine's pretending to sleep on my lap-
Just long enough to attack my fingers when I start typing!
She's a wild one-I gues that's what we get for naming her
Alice Cooper
All cats are such REGAL creatures .
Is that a princess or prince you have there?
Hard to tell with the legs crossed!
I figurd it was a princess-crossing legs-such manners!
I'm glad we don't have snakes that big around here!!!
Sometimes we get black snakes, but they're harmless...
Rarely we get some with patterns on them-
I don't know what they are, but I give them their space!
Here's Alice Cooper-she hangs out here, and doesn't seem to mind getting dripped on.
That is a great Pic. Tropicanna
I always find it hard to photograph Black Critters .
I had to take some Pics of some "Low Line" Cattle one time .
I took over 200 Pics , and only about 20 were usable .
A real challenge .
2nd Pic also good .
I`m surprised she is not playing with the bells on the side .
LOL! You can see the feistiness in her eyes. Kell, is that a snake pet, or is he univited into your house? If the later, he would be a dead snake! Outdoors is yours, indoors is mine. And, I have no great fondness for snakes, but will steer clear OUTSIDE. LOL
Hi vadap
These 3 tanks sit in a shelter that`s open to the wild .
I think she came in to soak her skin before shedding it .
2 Days later there was a giant skin on the floor and she was gone .
How is the snow melt going ? Did I tell you ' Dont eat the yellow snow '
She didn't discover those yet, I'm sure--she's into everything!
Bells are her favorite-
Especially those balls with the bells inside
She fetches just like a dog!
I just hope she doesn't find any snakes this summer-
She has no fear!
Wow-they look wet!
Are they as sweet as they seem or not?
No , they are not wet .
And yes they sure are adorable .
They will take flight long before you could pat them .
Their eyes look at you so lovingly .
My daughter said she wanted to take one home when we visited the zoo.
Along with a muir cat, a fennic, and a lioness.
I'll try to dig up zoo pics over the next couple days--
A lioness Might be fun .
Think of what it might do to your garden ?
Let`s see those Pics.
Will you be up late?
I'm going to be off DG for awhile, but will post them later.
My pics aren't always great-shaky hands!
It is 6 am here in Australia .
So I`ll be up for quite a bit .
Oh yeah its Tuesday as well.
That joey is looking to be getting big. Weighing on momma's pouch. No yellow snow, Kell. Can actually see grass, and some of my flowerbeds(just dirt right now, begging to be planted). Tropicana, I agree with Kell that the lioness would be cool. Couple of dogs around the neighborhood need straightening out. I do prefer the Bengal tigers though.
vadap
I hope you get lots of sunshine
So we can see your garden Pics .
Like your idea of straightening out dogs .
Raining outside, turning into sleet later, then snow tomorrow. No plants for awhile around here!! LOL.
Hey Pep , I`m off for 8 days .
Will you steer this ship for me please ?
Be nice to every one .
See you when you are older .
Toodle Do . Kell
Hey!! Where ya going???
To the hospital to get a personality transplant ?
HA HA HA
*bump*
Hi you Pep !
I`m back but not all with it yet .
Had my hands full of Rock face for nearly a week ,
Now I just want to get some dirt on them .
Glag to see My ship didn`t sink while I was away .
I had a feeling that was what you were doing. Hurry up and get back with it!! LOL
I`ve only been away for 6 days ,
and the golden canna is starting to put out a flower spike .
I can hardly wait to see what colour it is .
I can't wait til next month when I can start my cannas indoors.
I would have thought you could have them in doors all year around ?
I`m assuming your house is heated ?
Is that so they don`t get to big in the pots ?
Lotsa questions . Need lotsa answers . Kell
I could grow them inside all year round but I don't have the space for it. Over here we plant them outside after frost is over then dig them up and bring em in after the first frost of the new season.
Welcome back! Glad to see you survived, Kell. ; ) Looking forward to your pics.
Hi vadap
And thank you .
When I spend 1 whole day on planes
and 5 more on a mountainside .
You start to miss getting your hands dirty .
Don`t know if you know what 'THROUGH WALKING' is ?
It`s when you have to carry enough food & water to last for the entire trip .
Totally reliant on one self .
Much like when you were on the ships .
You just can`t get off and go to a shop .
vadap: I grew up in Denver, and my DH lived on Xanthia. Rough winter there!!!
ginger: if that snake of yours eats gophers in addition to chickens, I'll trade you some Praetoria cannas for one!!~~
Kell, that's the good kind of hiking. Around here, most folks want to day hike out of their cars/campgrounds/rv's and stay close to amenities. One hike I've always wanted to do is the Appalachian Trail, from Georgia to Maine, and take a leisurly stroll of about 5 months. My ancestors landed in Bucks County, Pensylvania in 1721, and migrated south to Mississippi via the Appalachians and eventually to Eastern Texas in a little over 100 years. Don't know about actually being on teh "face" of a mountain though. Like keeping terra firma (or some semblance in the case of ships) below my feet.
imapigeon, my folks lived near 6th and Xenia in early 90's. Was still a descent neighborhood then. I live near Buckley and Hampden, now. Looking to move outta Denver, though. Hopefully, the housing market comes back a bit and I can sell my house next spring/summer.
PPL who don`t like climbing have a saying here .
About Terra Firma .
The more Firma ,
The less Terror .
I guess it applies to a lot of ppl .
