I bought some dried molasses to put on my flower beds to increase the microbial activity. Used about 10 lbs per 1000 sq. ft. I have about half of a bag left and I suspect in our humid weather it will not be useable for very long. Can I use it on the lawn? If so should it be at the same rate? Thanks.
What can I use dried molasses on?
Hey barbur,
You can use the dried molasses on your lawn at the same rate as in your beds. If your lawn is not that big and you are going to have some left over, it is safe to apply at a greater rate.

Thanks David, Should I water it in, or wait till its about to rain?
Either would be fine. We have not been getting reliable rain here. I think you have been getting more.
If you want it active now, I would water it in, otherwise you could spread now and wait or wait for rain and spread before.
My dogs like to lick it so I water.
David
