My liners and now the leaves of my cuttings are turning yellow with little black spots and dropping off. One liner has already died. I have been treating them with Bayer's systemic granules (yesterday) and Bonide's Rose Rx. Am I doing something wrong?
What can I do now? I suspect mites.
something is killing my new hibiscus liners
Yellow with black spots sounds more like some sort of fungus. Many hibiscus will have some of their leaves yellow and drop off when they're moved or transplanted, but they generally don't die from that and will recover and put out new leaves. Usually no black spots in that case though which is why I think you may have a fungal infection. I'm not familiar with the products you've tried, but if they only treat insects then you should probably try a fungicide instead and see if that helps.
