Roseville Book Ends

Hello everyone, I am a newbee glad to be here!
My wife collects Roseville and has recently come across a set of book ends that look like "open books."
The Roseville mark looks authentic but there is a set of numbers and letters with it that's never been seen by her or I.
These letters are " 1BE " The dont look like any artists mark that we've seen. We have been told by one that it represents...
One Book End. ????? Any ideas? Thanks!
