Where can I find a bulk source of crabmeal along the Florida Panhandle coast?
Crabmeal
There's a great fish market in Pensacola, or used to be anyway.
Thanks for the tip. At lease one large scale organic farmer in this area is already using raw fish waste.
Raw fish waste is good fertlizer, but it requires immediate composting to keep the odor down and thus keep peace with the neighbors.
I was looking for something that had been processed into a drier meal that would be easier to handle and not be as odorous.
There are a number of good organic fertilizer manufacturers in Florida and some of them are beginning to add natural supplements into some of the blends to make them a complete package. The addition of trace elements, humates and live biology really gives them what is needed.
I am now involved in working with some products for use in cleaning up areas that have been contaiminated by the use of brackish water. Also, will be trying them on areas that have heavy salt buildups. Hope it works because it is becoming a major problem in many areas of the country.
