My mom wants a garden with a border of Cannas.... being in Fl that shouldn't be hard... as wel never get cold *sigh*
However we are all sand. so I know I'm going to have to dig it up and put in better soil... so I know nothing about Cannas.
how deep shold I make the bed with good soil? I was thinking a foot or 18 inches (lots of digging) I was also thinking of getting some soil and building up the border of the yard and putting them there as well... Can they take on water... we get rather wet in the summer.
How far apart should they be... spacing?

also... How long from seed to bloom? I have a few seeds that I was lucky to get!
