I'm new here to Lincoln Nebraska and was wondering about fall planting. Coming from Texas I did alot of planting this time of year. What advice can y'all give me?
Fall Planting
Plant bulbs. Also try to get everything planted before frost so it can start developing roots but others may say after frost works too. Plant perennials like hosta. Water plants when its not freezing unless you get alot of moisture. Its been dry all year here in this region so I recommend watering. I can't think of anything else right off the top of my head.
This is also the time to plant iris, peonies, daylilies, many shrubs and trees, garlic, etc. It has to be hardy to your zone to be planted in the fall. Especially this late in the fall.
