I just moved into my house and the yard is populated with fruit trees. I had a wonderful peach crop and apple crop. However when the apples were ready for harvest the tree started losing its leaves and now it is bare. The lower branches appear dead, however when I was picking the fruit the lower branches which were dead had to be cut away to reach the fruit. Is this normal or did I lose a wonderful apple tree?
