Night blooming cestrum

I, TX(Zone 8a)

I was given a large cutting of a some sort of night blooming cestrum. It is going to have to be propagated but I don't really know where to start. It looks like my friend just cut a big limb of it off of her plant. There are several 2 feet or longer "leaves" or paddles that are on a stem. I even had two buds that have bloomed and were beautiful. Any suggestions will be gladly taken.

http://davesgarden.com/forums/f/episetc/all/ They are great at giving advice on these beautiful plants. The basics are: after it's been cut allow 1 - 2 weeks for it to heal over - then plant it so that the first nodes are beneath the soil - only gently mist until you see new growth.

Thanks for the link. I don't want to lose them since they do have such beautiful blossoms.

I had put a few of the leaves out in a pot this weekend and then we had 2 inche of rain so they got a pretty good drink. Hope it didn't hurt them too bad. The rest is in the house high and dry.

Thanks again..

Kim
