Netscape 8.1.2 - Anyone upgraded to it?

I have both Internet Explorer and Netscape, but have preferred Netscape 8.1 because there were fewer security flaws. However, the latest Netscape upgrade is not actually an upgrade but a new, stand alone installation. I have backups of my bookmarks, etc. but am leery about installing this Netscape 8.1.2. There's no tech support to answer my questions, and I wonder if anyone has done this new installation successfully. If so, did you then uninstall the old 8.1?
