Hi Folks.
I've been growing datura in my yard here in Florida for the first time ( I had some success with them in Zone 5 in containers). They started off strong, and bloomed early, but then stopped growing, became stunted, shriveled, and stopped blooming. When I pulled them up, I found that their tap roots had been eaten into by something that looked like a mealy bug.
Has anyone had similar problems? Or, does anyone have any recommendations for how to stop those bugs, preferably without pesticide? My second round of babies is starting to bloom, and I'd like to keep them going!
Thanks so much!
Michele
